Sweet Simplicity: Celebrating Love and the Perfect Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich
Last weekend, my wonderful husband Eric and I celebrated our six-year wedding anniversary. Six incredible years of laughter, shared adventures, and yes, sometimes lying in bed together, happily engrossed in our phones. It’s a modern romance, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Here’s to many more decades of these beautifully imperfect, perfectly us moments!
In all seriousness, when it comes to keeping the romance alive, Eric is truly exceptional. He’s the planner, always orchestrating our date nights and ensuring we carve out special time together. Every so often, I’ll walk into the kitchen to find a vibrant bouquet of fresh flowers, a thoughtful gesture he knows I deeply appreciate. And perhaps most valuable to a food blogger like myself, he’s an incredibly diligent dish washer – a skill that truly saves the day after a marathon cooking session!
Our anniversary date last weekend was a perfect example of our unique dynamic. We were strolling through Marshall’s, and my eyes landed on something I knew my sister-in-law Sandi had been looking for. Without a second thought, I snapped a picture and texted it to her: “Look! Only 25 bucks!” Her immediate reply, delivered with a touch of playful disbelief, was, “Please tell me you’re not shopping at Marshall’s for your date.”
Oh, but yes. Yes, we absolutely were. Before you jump to conclusions about the state of our romance, let me clarify: the first leg of our anniversary outing involved a spirited tennis match. So, by the time we reached Marshall’s, we were happily sweaty and still in our gym clothes. From there, we hit up In-N-Out for some classic burgers and then wandered through Barnes & Noble, messy hair and all. This, my friends, is the real magic of marriage – it genuinely does get better with time. There’s honestly no one else I’d rather spend an afternoon with, whether it’s flailing on the tennis court or quietly reading cookbooks side-by-side in a bookstore. It’s in these wonderfully unglamorous, authentic moments that true connection flourishes.
As Aristotle wisely noted, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” This sentiment perfectly encapsulates our relationship – Eric and I, together, create something far more wonderful than we could ever be individually. It’s a philosophy that also surprisingly applies to the culinary world, especially when it comes to simple, yet profoundly satisfying creations.
Indulge in a “No-Brainer” Dessert: The Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich
Speaking of simple elegance, let me introduce you to this incredibly delightful Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich. You’ll quickly notice this isn’t a complex recipe; it’s practically a “no-brainer.” I haven’t even bothered to dictate the exact number of tablespoons of raspberry preserves to spread on your bread. Why? Because this is a chocolate sandwich – a treat meant for pure enjoyment, not for meticulous calorie counting. If you’re at a stage where spreading jelly on bread feels like a challenge, well, we might need a longer conversation! The beauty of this sandwich lies in its effortless creation and irresistible payoff.
Discover Nocciolata: The Organic Hazelnut Spread You’ll Love
Have you ever had the pleasure of tasting Nocciolata? It’s pronounced No-chee-oh-lata, and it’s a game-changer. I recently received a complimentary jar to try, and I was instantly impressed. For years, I’ve searched for a hazelnut spread that truly stands up as a Nutella alternative. Many brands claim to be similar, but in my experience, they often fall short. Nocciolata, however, tastes remarkably like Nutella to me – that rich, creamy, chocolatey hazelnut goodness. But what truly sets it apart is its commitment to quality: it’s completely organic, kosher, and boasts a host of other healthy attributes. If you appreciate wholesome ingredients without compromising on flavor, Nocciolata is an absolute must-try.
Originally an Italian brand, Nocciolata has steadily been making a significant name for itself in the American market. I was delighted to spot it at my local Costco just the other day, which speaks volumes about its growing popularity and accessibility. It’s clear that more and more people are discovering this delicious and high-quality hazelnut spread.
Beyond the Sandwich: Creative Uses for Nocciolata
While a Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich is an undeniably perfect way to enjoy this hazelnut spread, don’t limit your imagination! Nocciolata is incredibly versatile. You could swirl it into your morning oatmeal, spread it on pancakes or waffles, or even use it as a delightful dip for fresh fruit. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend trying it in these Nutella-Stuffed Browned Butter Blondies – imagine the rich, nutty flavor it would add! Experimenting with Nocciolata in your favorite desserts or breakfast items is a sure path to discovering new culinary joys.
I fully intend to buy that entire pack of Nocciolata from Costco and make a thousand of these grilled sandwiches. A thousand! I’m not exaggerating when I say I could happily eat this Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich every single day. It’s the kind of simple pleasure that brightens even the busiest of days.
Full disclosure: I was provided a free jar of Nocciolata for review purposes, but all opinions expressed are entirely my own, as always!

This Raspberry Nocciolata Grilled Sandwich combines an organic hazelnut spread with sweet raspberry preserves, grilled to perfection on buttery bread for a warm, gooey, and utterly delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 2 slices sourdough bread, sliced
- 3 tablespoons Nocciolata, or other high-quality hazelnut spread
- 3 tablespoons raspberry preserves
- butter, softened
Instructions
- Spread Nocciolata generously on one slice of bread and raspberry preserves on the other slice.
- Gently sandwich them together. Be careful not to squish it!
- Spread softened butter evenly on the top half of the sandwich.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the sandwich into the skillet, butter-side down.
- While the first side is grilling, spread butter on the exposed top side of the sandwich.
- Let it grill for 3-5 minutes, watching closely. Nocciolata can have a tendency to burn if the heat is too high or cooking time too long, so keep an eye on that beautiful golden-brown crust.
- Flip the sandwich when the first side is perfectly golden brown and cook on the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until similarly golden and the filling is warm and gooey. Serve immediately and enjoy hot!
Notes
Any artisan bread would work wonderfully with this recipe. Next time, I’m excited to try it with ciabatta for an even more substantial crunch!
